Myth of United Nations

It isn't enough that I am Filipino by birth.

It isn't enough that I've become a US immigrant.

Why can't I be a person of the world?

As long as we recognize our differences in age, sex, religion, race, language, dietary habits, fashion, etc.

As long as we identify ourselves within each of these categories and think of ourselves exclusively belonging to a group and this group being unique from the rest

We'll never be one

There'll always be wars

Why can't we all be people of the world?

i agree. we are further subdivided. some filipinos even distinguish themselves from their countrymen. we are one big group. we are the world (teka 'di ba may kantang ganun?).
