Tokyo! is an anthology film with three segments or what you call 'shorts': Interior Design, Merde, and Shaking Tokyo. Each has its own theme: transformation, anarchy, and rebirth, but all three were set in Tokyo.
My favorite is the first one, Interior Design, because of the twist in the story. The female protagonist has no ambition whatsoever so she's pretty much bumming in life. Her boyfriend is a filmmaker and she's somewhat overshadowed by his artistry. Then one day, she woke up with a hollow chest. Before the day is over, she had transformed into a chair. Yes, a chair. One random guy picked her up (as a chair) and brought her home. Finally, she's found herself a purpose and became useful. Hilarious and I want to end it there. Because I don't really want to think about the possibility of that happening to me.
The second one, Merde, is pretty much disturbing because the guy looks creepy.
I also like the last one, Shaking Tokyo. It's about a hikikomori (shut-in). He's been living alone in their family house for 10 years receiving financial support from his father. There's no TV but he has a telephone, which is his only means of communication to the outside world. Everything he needs is being delivered to his door. He's also somewhat of an OC. Stacked in neat piles are the accumulated pizza boxes, rolls of tissue paper, bottles, and all the books and magazines he's read. When he fell in love with the pizza delivery girl, that's when he decided to go out of the house for the very first time in search of her.
