Letters From The Earth (Mark Twain)

Describing the people on Earth and the way they live... from Satan's POV.

Naglalaman ng labing-isang liham ni Satan kina archangel Gabriel and Michael.

Very insightful.

Amusing.

Panalo ka, Satan. Prangka kung prangka. Walang sinisino. Si God talaga ang kinalaban. Ang tapang mo, p're.

An angel banished from the Heaven because of his boldness in questioning God's creation.

Here goes the Quotable Quotes!
(typhoid fever) "...a malady which, when the circumstances are especially favorable, is able to utterly wreck a patient without killing him; for it can restore him to his feet with a long life in him, and yet deaf, dumb, blind, crippled, and idiotic. The housefly is its main disseminator, and is more competent and more calamitously effective than all the other distributors of the dreaded scourge put together."

"Constipation, O constipation,
The joyful sound proclaim
Till man's remotest entrail
Shall praise its Maker's name"

"but death was sweet, death was gentle, death was kind; death healed the bruised spirit and the broken heart, and gave them rest and forgetfulness; death was man's best friend; when man could endure life no longer, death came and set him free." (p.46)

"...so God created the Hell."

Eto astig gamiting signature. Saktong-sakto.
"And then, there were the flies. They swarmed everywhere, and persecuted the Family all day long. They were the first animals up, in the morning, and the last ones down, at night. But they must not be killed, they must not be injured, they were sacred, their origin was divine, they were the special pets of the Creator, his darlings."

Sugod mga langaw!

Yeehaaaaa!
