What the fuck have you done lately? This was the last line on the movie, and when I heard it, I felt like stung by a bee in the eye. Imagine how would that hurt?
Just last week, I've been to Lincoln Cinemas watching Get Smart. Tonight, I've been dragged out of the room to go and see Angelina Jolie with tattoos all over her body (arms and back) on the first showing of the movie. Dragged because I was having the time of my life hooked onto the internet in our shared room when my sister trotted in and bugged me to which I finally gave in after announcing that she'd pay for the tickets.
The thing is, my brain worked slower than ever this time that I had no idea what the movie is all about until of course, we arrived at the moviehouse and fall in line.
I've always been fascinated by assassins since I've heard/learned about them. I wouldn't even deny dreaming of becoming one back in my youth. They strike me as the coolest people on earth (Mutants are second). So this movie is about this cool assassin organization, The Fraternity. AND Morgan Freeman was there. So how could I NOT give this movie FIVE stars?! I got so excited on my seat when finally, it registered on my brain that THIS was the movie where I've seen Freeman from the last week's trailer.
I enjoyed watching the car chase, hearing the gunshots, the sound of punching, smacking, and slashing, the sight of spilling blood, the "slow motion" effect of bullets getting launched, the incredible stunts... it's definitely action-packed.
PLUS the twist at the end of the story. That's what's always been delighted me, TWIST, be it in a MOVIE or in a BOOK. I love it when my mind is tricked. It reminds me I'm an idiot, a fool who often forgets to use the left side of her brain.
All in all, I must say, it's worth the 10 bucks (although I didn't pay for it).
