Summer Fever

I've been sneezing and coughing for more than a week. Curse you, virus! I've lost count of the rolls of tissue I've flushed in the toilet blowing my nose. Worst, I'm running out of supply of medicine (Solmux and Amoxicillin).

Damn, Neozep. Why did it have to be so bitter. I can still taste it even with my bland taste buds due to my stuffy nose.

I'd rather much prefer to swallow a capsule than a tablet even without water.

It's summertime and it's hot but I'm drinking hot tap water straight from the faucet. During the time my nose was uber stuffed with mucus and my throat was sore as hell, I drank cup after cup of hot green tea but it didn't matter because my taste buds are not working.

They say that too much medicine can make a person deaf. I don't buy it. I'm getting deaf because I always listen to my iPod at full volume every time I take my morning walk. Walk, not jog. And I'm blaming this morning ritual for contracting the dreaded common cold virus. Isn't it silly? Just when I thought I'd started getting fit by involving myself to physical exercise, my immune system ended up malfunctioning.

That's why I wasn't able to go to Tokyo Summerland which really ticked me off. I was worse than a barking dog and because I didn't want to create mass hysteria in the country that has been already infected by the pandemic AH1N1 flue virus, I canceled my reservation and sulked at my room.

But I'm looking forward this Saturday for the Disneyland tour.

Come next week, my sunrise climb!

And if I make it the next day (after the climb) alive, party!

Can I make a wish now?

I wish I could get rid of this virus soon! Really, what a hassle. I couldn't leave the house and explore the city. One more month and I'll be going back to Sombiland where the nightmares began.

I really wish I'd recover soon so I could prove the cable guy that I'm not a scaredy cat.
