My Christmas Holiday Readings

Three days ago, I was able to finally devour New Moon, the sequel to Stephenie Meyer's Twilight.

The story has become much more complicated, with Jacob Black turning into a werewolf, who would readily kill my lovely Edward Cullen, his lovely family, or the other "bloodsuckers" (i.e., Victoria) the moment any one of them touches and/or bites a human.

As for Victoria's part, she's actually hunting for Bella because Edward killed her partner, James.

I think I feel I like Twilight better.

Overall I'd say it turned out into a romance YA fic, but not your ordinary romance story, because it involves mythical creatures, the vampires and werewolves, and that for the part, makes the novel cool.

Can't wait for the 3rd one.

Since I've been ranting about a book (what else could be more interesting), might as well add the book that I've been longing for for quite some time now. I fact, much longer than I've been musing over Twilight, New Moon, A Spot of Bother or Tatty (the last two I'm still yet to lay my hands on).

Would you have guessed if I tell you that it's none other than Stefan Koski's Miscellaneous Philosphy? I'm promising myself to grab a copy of the book as soon as I hit a bookstore in Washington this Christmas break. This is the only chance I got. And I cannot think of other ways of getting a hold onto this book. I must and I should bring home this book next year.

I'm currently reading the book I got as an exchange gift during our batch christmas party last Friday. No, I didn't receive an erotica book but a classmate of mine had apparently brought one in the scene. It's a collection of short stories. He handed it to me and I stared at it hesistantly as I held it in my shaking hands. I flipped open the book and scan the pages with speed. Apparently, I was driven to cowardice and shame beyond my knowledge. I ended up reading the Introduction only.

Oh yeah, I also promised to grab myself a pair of knee-length Emily (red and black stripes) socks.

Happy Holidays everyone!
